Dear Sensei

What a great site. I especially like the Goju-ryu Secrets Revealed section. I am sure that will open some eyes. As my sensei you have always been a great inspiration to me and I would like to say thank you for that. I know how you feel about the cold so when it warms up I hope we can get you to Vermont.

See you soon

Bill Crandall

Dear Sensei Merriman,

My son and I just passed our Green Belt test here in Jim Thorpe, PA. Our sensei, Sensei Steve Tomko, was one of your students. He's awesome; quick as a cat. Would like to visit your dojo some day. Couldn't visit the site without at least signing your guest book.

Dear Chuck,

Just a short note to congratulate you on the establishment of your new website. Looks great.

Wishing you and Lil a successful 2006.

Sensei Chuck Merriman is a living legend in the American Martial Arts Scene and his knowledge plus technical ability have put him there.

His teaching expertise is second to none and every single seminar I have ever had with him has been packed with knowledge and insight that only a true master of karate can divulge.

I have known him now for over 30 years personally and yet every single time I am with him he somehow manages to teach me even more.

If you have an opportunity to get into a seminar with him I strongly suggest that you jump at the opportunity you will not be disappointed I assure you.

Merriman Sensei,

With fond memories the day turns into night and back to day again, or did the night begin today as I wake to greet the sun ...

Hanshi Merriman,

I like the neatness and clarity of your web site. It's a lot like the way you teach. Clean & precise with great drills and examples. As an Isshinryu instructor it is important to experience its roots. Goju-Ryu is one of them and you are one of the best. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom with me as well as your friendship.

Yours in Bushido,

Hanshi Merriman,

Great web site. Hanshi Merriman has been one of the leading masters on Okinawa Goju-Ryu Karate for many years. He has come to Los Angeles to conduct several seminars at my dojo. He is truly one the greatest masters as a competitor, coach, teacher, and a champion. He is a dynamic teacher and when he gives a seminar magic happens. If you ever have the chance to train with him do not miss it. I have trained under several what I consider good Karate masters but Hanshi Merriman is the best and I consider him a great friend for over 25 years.

Merriman Sensei-

As I discovered when I first began training in Goju-ryu a short while ago, there is a derth of quality information on our style of karate here on the web.

Thank you for filling that void with an informative, well designed website. Looking forward to training with you again soon here in Mason City, Iowa.

Merriman Sensei,

The site looks great! We appreciate your contributions to Okinawan Goju ryu in the United States and our Dojo. I could not have imagined how your insight changed my training for the better. Looking forward to seeing you in Iowa and eagerly awaiting your return to Wisconsin.

Sensei,

Very nice site. I now have an address which will help people understand a little of the lineage of our Dojo and that of Goju-ryu. Your photos also bolster a point I've been trying to get across in Iowa - good looks don't require hair! Looking forward to many more years of your seminars and insites.

My best to you,

Bill

Sensei,

Your web-site looks great, I just wanted to thank you for all you have done for me and my student's over the last 10 years - can you believe it's been 10 years since I called (begged you to come to Iowa) as Dave Oddy says I wish we would have met earlier.

Your faithful student

Brian
